New Assessor Kevin Harris
|
Kevin Harris graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an International Business Certificate. Upon graduating from college Mr. Harris worked successfully as a building contractor, conducting business through his own company, Harris Construction. He currently holds a Michigan Residential Building License.
Mr. Harris has worked for the Kalamazoo Equalization Department as an appraiser for the past eighteen months. He is a Michigan Advanced Assessing Officer and is well trained in the computer programs: Equalizer, Apex and GIS. As an employee of Kalamazoo County Mr. Harris’ duties included: Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Studies, gathering field data, and interacting with the residents and business owners of Kalamazoo County.
Kevin Harris grew up in and currently resides in Edwardsburg, Michigan. As a child, growing up on a dairy farm, he became familiar with the many aspects of agriculture and the family farm. Mr. Harris looks forward to working for the citizens of Prairieville Township and is confident that he will be an outstanding addition to the organization.
